London, Feb 4 : Brit actress Kate Winslet has revealed that she had a harrowing love life during her teenage years, with her dad Roger installing a payphone at home and interrupting her calls in between.

Winslet, 33, recalled moments when she was on the phone and ran out of coins, begging the other person not to hang up on her.

"My father was so worried about our phone he kept cutting it off and installed a payphone in our home," the Sun quoted her as saying.

Washington, Feb 02 : Penelope Cruz has dismissed claims of a feud between herself and fellow actress Kate Winslet, insisting the pair has become `very close'.

- have been on the phone daily, offering each other support in the run-up to the awards ceremony on February 22.

Cruz revealed that though Kate and she have met just thrice they have become very close pals.

London, Jan 30 : British actress Kate Winslet admits that working with hubby Sam Mendes on `Revolutionary Road' was like her `ideal world becoming a reality'.

The 33-year-old actress revealed that she was keen to experience the directorial side of her hubby Mendes, and finally found the script for Revolutionary Road.

"Wonderful actors like Tom Hanks would tell me that Sam was so great to work. I'd be telling them to shut up because I was starting to get a bit jealous," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

The Golden Globe Award-winning and Oscar nominated 2008 drama film features her as a Nazi concentration camp guard.

Winslet wanted to perfect her accent for the film, and thus she used it in her everyday life.

However, she revealed, her kids-Mia, 8, by ex-husband Jim Threapleton, and Joe, 5, with current partner Sam Mendes-were confused as to why their mother was speaking in a German accent.
