She says that she “lives like an animal” in hiding as she is afraid of being seen in public. 

She insists that she was unaware of the secret cellar beneath her home in Amstetten, Austria, where her husband had kept their daughter Elisabeth as a sex slave in a cellar beneath their ancestral home for 24 long years, and fathered six children with her.

London, July 30 : The wife of Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl has reportedly decided to divorce him.

Rosemarie Fritzl made the statement that she would leave her ‘evil’ husband after more than 52 years of marriage.

The announcement comes after the 69-year-old was asked to leave the flat of her daughter Elisabeth and her six grandchildren that was provided by the state, reports the Telegraph.

According to Austrian newspaper Oesterreich, it is being believed that the move came at Elisabeth''s request.

Fritzl, 73, a retired engineer, confessed to incarcerating and sexually abusing his daughter Elisabeth, 42, in a purpose-built dungeon in his cellar for over 24 years, forcing her to bear seven of his children.

And now, 69-year-old Rosemarie, who was unaware of her daughter’s plight, is without any money and is struggling to survive on 300 pounds-a-month benefits.

London, July 26: Rosemarie, the wife of Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl, has lost almost 3st since her evil husband’s arrest in April.

The 69-year-old has returned to her home city after a rift with daughter Elisabeth, who was kept as a sex slave for 24 years in the town of Amstetten by Fritzl, 73.

Referring to her weight loss, Rosemarie’s pals said that she has become “a shadow of her former self”.

Friends are worried for her health after she was seen shopping this week in Linz, Austria — the city where she lived until she was 17.

“She has very little money. When she goes shopping, she never spends more than four or five pounds for the basics,” The Sun quoted her, as saying.

Such a development could cause a setback of the case against him.

The 73-year-old Fritzl has confessed to imprisoning his daughter Elisabeth, 42, in a cellar dungeon beneath his home in the town of Amstetten for over 24 years, and fathering seven children with her.

One of the children died at birth in 1997 and Fritzl burned his body in an oven.

Elisabeth has completed testifying against her dad and reportedly reinstated her earlier statement given to police, in which she accused him of rape and abuse and for indirectly causing the death of her newborn.

London, July 11 : Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl, who held his daughter as a captive in a cellar dungeon for 24 years, has made a request officials to allow him to leave his prison cell after admitting that he can no longer stand being caged.

The 73-year-old devil had kept daughter Elisabeth locked in a windowless cellar in Amstetten, Austria, and fathered her seven children before being caught by police.

Now, after just two months of incarceration and despite his fear of being attacked by fellow prisoners, he has demanded his right to 30 minutes exercise every day.

Fritzl has now twice had half-hour walks, protected from other inmates by a close guard of prison officers.
