London, Sept 5 : Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl may face manslaughter charges following a breakthrough in the four-month investigation against him.

The 73-year-old retired engineer and property developer had imprisoned his daughter, Elisabeth, and fathered seven children with her during 24 years of sexual abuse, reports TimesOnline.

The baby was one of seven fathered by sick Fritzl with daughter Elisabeth, and investigators fear he tossed the child into an oven just hours after it was born.

London, Aug 23 : The six dungeon kids of Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl will not testify in his trial, officials have said.

His wife Rosemarie, 69, will also be spared giving evidence.

“They will not give statements. This decision is final,” The Sun quoted court boss Kurt Leitzenberger, as saying.

When asked what this would mean for the trial, he said: “The picture is almost complete anyway.

“Their statements might have helped us but most of it was clear from the beginning.”

London, Aug 22: The trial of Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl will be held behind closed doors, a court official has revealed.

The public and press will “quite certainly” be excluded to protect his victims in Sankt Poelten, Austria, he said.

This implies that the full story of how Fritzl kept daughter Elisabeth caged as a sex slave for 24 years may never be known.

Elisabeth, 42, had seven children by her evil father, 74.

Three were taken to live upstairs with Fritzl and wife Rosemarie, 69.
