Chicago, Feb 4: It has emerged that American singer Jennifer Hudson's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl involved lip-syncing.

Rickey Minor, who is the pregame show's producer, said that Hudson had used vocal tracks that she had submitted a week before the game on February 1.

"That''s the right way to do it," Chicago Sun-Times quoted Minor as saying.

Washington, Feb 2 : Jennifer Hudson made a stunning comeback when she performed at the Super Bowl in her first public appearance after the brutal murders of her mother, brother, and nephew last year.

Marking her return to the spotlight, the actress sang the U. S. National Anthem in front of millions of viewers before the big game in Tampa, Florida on February 1.

London, Jan 31 : Country singer Faith Hill has praised Jennifer Hudson for choosing the Super Bowl for returning to the spotlight after her family tragedy.

Hudson is set to perform the U. S. National Anthem in front of millions of viewers before the Super Bowl making her comeback after the brutal murders of mother, brother and nephew in October last year.

Hill feels that Hudson has chosen the perfect event to mark her comeback.

"She is a strong girl, a girl of faith," the Daily Express quoted Hill as saying.

Washington, Jan 29 : The prime suspect in the murders of actress Jennifer Hudson''s mother, brother and nephew has been granted permission to move to another jail in Illinois.

William Balfour, the estranged husband of the Oscar winner''s sister Julia, was accused of killing the singer-cum-actress' mum Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and seven-year-old nephew Julian King.

Last week, Balfour, 27, pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and home invasion, reports Contactmusic.

London, January 21 : Jennifer Hudson has confirmed that she will be performing at the Grammy Awards, and is ready to face the spotlight again after having faced the horrors of her tragic family murders.

The Oscar-winning actress, who went into hiding following the brutal slayings of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew last year, will resurface at the Super Bowl XLIII, where she is set to sing the American National Anthem on February 1 in Miami.

The singer will also sing at the Grammys'' MusiCares on February 6, and then at LA's Staples Center ceremony two days later.

New York, January 21 : Jennifer Hudson''s former brother-in-law, the main suspect behind the murders of the actress' family members, has pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

William Balfour had been arrested on charges of first-degree killings of the Oscar-winner's mother, brother and his 7-year-old stepson on December 1.

A murder indictment had been issued against the 27-year-old, with his lawyer later making a request that his client be shifted from a state prison to Cook County for easier communication.

The judge had said that he would rule on the matter during a January 20 court date, but the request has been reset for another hearing next week, reports the New York Daily News.
