Washington, Mar. 20 : The political crisis in Pakistan may have died down for the time being with President Asif Ali Zardari reinstating the deposed judiciary and Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry as the Chief Justice, but the political brick batting between leaders in the country would hardly see any change in the near future, says the Washington Post.
According to the newspaper, the Pakistani leadership is more concerned about pulling each other’s leg rather than fighting insurgency in the country.
Washington, Mar. 19 : A bunkered Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is in no mood to reconcile with Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif.
According to informed sources, Zardari is taking the reinstatement of judges sacked by former President General Pervez Musharraf as his "personal defeat".
Zardari's own party men fear that he will leave Pakistan politically adrift at a time when it is facing severe threats from Islamist extremists.

The officials say that the country''s powerful Army and the United States refused to give Zardari full and unqualified backing.
Islamabad - Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari announced the reinstatement of the country's sacked top judge and 10 others on Tuesday, a day after yielding to country-wide protests by lawyers and opposition parties amid a political standoff.
Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said in a statement that judge Iftikhar Chaudhry will assume office as chief justice of Supreme Court on March 22, following the retirement of the current top judge.
