Pawhuska Osage Casino set to make grand debut on October 5, 2023
Leaving construction challenges & delays far behind, the Pawhuska Osage Casino & Hotel is finally primed for its grand debut on October 5, 2023. The Pawhuska Osage Casino & Hotel Project was originally slated for completion in the fall of last year, but various construction-related challenges resulted in its delay. Now, this eagerly-awaited gambling-friendly property is ready to welcome guests through its doors on the aforementioned auspicious date.
The celebration of the grand debut of the casino-hotel will commence with an exclusive preview for members of the Osage Tribe. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will mark the official launch of this special entertainment destination in the area.
The plans for opening of the tribal gambling-friendly facility were officially announced in late August by Osage Casinos, the entity responsible for operating the resort. The latest announcement aligns seamlessly with the operator’s earlier statements, which had consistently projected an opening of the property within the current year. It seems these projections were well-founded because the supply chain for building equipment were effectively restored for the Pawhuska as well as Bartlesville gaming facilities. Finally, the stage is set for an exhilarating new chapter in gambling-friendly entertainment.
When asked for a comment, Osage Casinos CEO Kimberly Pearson, “This property has been a long time coming. We’re so proud to share this beautiful facility with the Pawhuska community and our Nation, and it’s amazing to see all the hard work come to fruition.”
The opening of the Osage Casino & Hotel has reportedly been adjusted to coincide with the premiere of Martin Scorsese's movie "Killers of the Flower Moon," which is scheduled for 20th of October. CEO Pearson, who attended the movie presentation at the United Osages of Southern California gathering in April this year, reportedly made arrangements for it to be hosted at the resort on the above-mentioned date.
Situated at 1421 John Dahl Ave in downtown Pawhuska (Oklahoma), the new facility is going to mark the culmination of the casino development project that was started in June 2023, when the OK government and Gaming Enterprise commenced construction for the Pawhuska and Bartlesville gaming properties. The opening date for the Bartlesville casino is yet to be announced.
The Pawhuska facility encompass 87,808 square feet, including more than 3,000 square feet of event space, a gaming floor equipped with nearly 250 gaming machines, spacious dining facilities, and a brand-new 47-room hotel offering numerous amenities.
