A Florida aquatic park has been asked to stop performances in which trainers swim with a killer whale. US health and safety officials have ordered the park to do so. According to the Miami Seaquarium, a citation has been issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The order has been passed to end performances with the killer whale, named Lolita.

Seaquarium said that Miami Seaquarium has agreed to take out trainers from the water during performances with Lolita. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency granted Lolita the same endangered species protection as her wild relatives in February. Lolita has spent about 45 years in captivity. It lives in a tank at the Seaquarium. It is a 11-metre wide and six-metre deep tank.

Three largest US tobacco companies filed lawsuit claiming that the US Food and Drug Administration is going beyond its authority limit by keeping a close tab on the content of their product labels.

But on Tuesday, Altria Group Inc, Reynolds American Inc and Lorillard Inc have dropped their cases after the agency said that it would reconsider its rules.

On May 29, the FDA said that it will review whether or not it is a compulsion for tobacco companies for taking prior approval for label alterations, including changes to logos and background colors.

The lawsuit was filed in April in federal court in Washington, D. C. In the lawsuit, the companies stated that the 2009 Tobacco Control Act limited FDA authority to pre-approve label changes to two 'narrow' circumstances-

The outbreak has already reached to an alarming level in Midwest, and tens of millions of egg-laying birds have been culled owing to avian flu. Experts shared that supply has declined and demand has increased and this has increased the wholesale cost of eggs.

The effect of increase has already been passed on to consumers in some supermarkets. Price of dozen large eggs increased to $2.29 at Wegmans locations throughout New Jersey. Wegmans stated that they do not like to increase prices, but in certain conditions it becomes unavoidable.

Dr. Irwin A. Rose died on Tuesday in Deerfield, Mass. Dr. Rose won a Noble Prize in 2004 that he shared with two collaborators for lifting the lid off the secret behind how cells identify old and damaged proteins and transform them into pieces for new proteins. Dr. Rose died at 88 at the home of his son Frederick.

Dr. Rose took his last breath at the home of his son, Frederick, with whom he was living. He had shared the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with two collaborators.

A number of reports have surfaced recently, raising concerns about massive decline in the population of honey bees. Now, the U.S. administration has released the National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators.

The strategy will be aimed to protect the pollinators that help increase crop productivity and other resources in the nation. The US beekeepers from the Department of Agriculture has reviewed a study, which unveiled that honey bee colonies have declined around 42.1% from 2014 to 2015.

Loss of bee species is not only taking place in America, as it has been noted in other parts of the world. Europe is facing possible extinction of 9.2% of the 2,000 bee species in the continent.
