Cris Cyborg opens up about being Bullied by Dana White, Ronda Rousey

Cristiane Justino Venancio, famously known as Cyborg or Cris Cyborg, recently took to social media to explain how she has been dealing with bullying for five years from Ronda Rousey and UFC president Dana White.

Cyborg said she found Ronda Rousey hypocritical about complaining that people in Hollywood are being critical of her body image. Rousey said people have been talking about her arms or the extra weight she carries between fights.

Ronda Rousey recently stated in an interview that she is tired of people discussing her weight and body. The same Rousey and Dana White have used media to bully her and even opened door for other opponents to try the same tactics.

CMS releases Stage 3 final rules

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released the guidelines called Stage 3 that will allow users to read and exchange electronic health information. The information will quite accessible, said the authorities concerned.

The guidelines will firstly start as an optional requirement for users in 2017 and next year will be required. Main aim of the initiative is to make the healthcare industry a less of paper-based system. The paper-based system is often confusing owing to factors like doctor's handwriting, patients can misplace them and patients' files can be lost.

Diamonds found useful in detecting cancer

A team of physicists from the University of Sydney has come up with a new way to detect cancerous tumors and that is by using diamonds. Using the new technology, called non-invasive Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans, the researchers were able to identify the onset of cancer much earlier than previous technology.

A nano scale, synthetic version of a diamond, was used to light up cancerous tumors in the early-stages of the disease. The researchers have credited a 2013 research project called DINAMO, funded by the European Union, to create a new method for scientists using which they could study the molecular processes that occur in living cells.

Annual enrollment for Medicare to open from October 15

Authorities concerned announced that people have health insurance through Medicare then their annual open enrollment period is starting from Thursday, October 15 and would run through December 7. But the choices that people will make will go into effect from January 1.

Medicare is the health-care program meant for those aged 65 and above. And, by the term annual open enrollment period means the time when they can change their choices with regard to Part D (prescription drug) coverage, change Medigap plans, enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan and/ or change Medicare Advantage plans.

Elementary school child suffers from viral meningitis

A Cumberland child who attends the Mabel I. Wilson School, meant for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade, has been hospitalized with viral meningitis. It is the second time in a week in York County that a student has been diagnosed with meningitis.

Viral meningitis is said to be less aggressive and more common than bacterial meningitis. Experts have shared that people who contract viral meningitis often get well without taking treatment and this process can take between a week and 10 days.

31st annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles held on Sunday

The 31st annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles was organized Sunday with an aim to raise funds for AIDS Project Los Angeles and more than 20 other LA County-based AIDS service organizations. In the event, more than 20,000 people have taken part.

In the event, people walked through West Hollywood and the Fairfax district. An opening ceremony was held that was attended by celebrities and city dignitaries. After the opening event, the walk started at 10 am at West Hollywood Park.

The walk included a new 90-foot tunnel with artificial turf, water misters and information panels on HIV and AIDS. With the help of the money, the organizations will be able to provide food, housing, medical and dental care and counseling to people living with HIV and AIDS and take steps to prevent new infections.
