After he failed to appear before it in a graft case, Haryana legislator Abhay Chautala was granted interim bail by a city court Monday.

Interim bail was granted to Chautala, an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) legislator by Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Judge P. S. Teji, who also fixed the matter for further hearing March 5. Abhay is the son of INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala.

After the CBI's counsel submitted that despite their best efforts summons issued against the leader could not be served, the court had issued a warrant against Abhay Chautala Feb 15.
