The director who delivered many super hits in the eighties is back with another film. His new project will stars a number of youngsters in important roles.

Discovery Travel and Living's host Anthony Bourdain and his team had quite the experience on Wednesday. When they found out about Mammootty being one of the biggest names in the South Indian film industry, they tried to fix a meeting with him on the sets of his movie, Pokkiri Raja.

The Raj and Bianca Desai starrer Sanchari had its music launch recently. The launch was held in Bangalore on Monday.

The album was released by renowned producer K. Manju. The film has been produced by Nagaraja Reddy and his brother Prabhakara Reddy, Lakshmaiah and Ramappa are the co-producers. Directed by Kiran Govi of Payana fame, Sanchari stars Telugu actor Subburaj, Dilipraj, Rangayana Raghu, Bullet Prakash, Dharma, Satyajith, Aravind, Ramesh Babu, Sashikala and Ranadheera Venkatesh.

When he came on the sets of Putra for the first time, actor Diganth was shocked to not find actress Shubha Poonja around. He was surprised that she had been replaced by actress Supreetha (of Ambaari fame) without his knowledge.

Putra is the remake of Emdan Magan, a Tamil film. Shubha had been chosen earlier to play the female lead opposite Diganth but she was then replaced by Supreetha. Putra was supposed to start rolling last year.

After the Swami Nityanand sex scandal thickened with the emergence of another sleaze video showing the Swami with Tamil actress Yuvarani, a majority of his disciples, both from Bollywood and the South Indian film industries, have been trying to disassociate themselves from him.

Vivek Oberoi was one of the Swami's disciples and had been his follower from 2005, after his aunt introduced him to the spiritual guru. Now, Vivek too is trying to distance himself from the Swami.
