The Hyundai IONIQ 5 as well as the IONIQ 6 EVs set new records in terms of sales in Q2 2024 as the brand pushing ahead with its efforts to grab a bigger market share amidst soaring competition.
The company has plans to add a number of key electric models, including the new IONIQ three-row e-SUV and the updated IONIQ 5, to its American lineup next year to keep the impetus high.
The reports regarding Hyundai’s new IONIQ three-row e-SUV had been coming for the past several months, but this is the first time when the manufacturer itself has officially confirmed a release date. A global debut for the three-row EV is scheduled to take place sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
The three-row IONIQ 9 (SEVEN) e-SUV concept was first unveiled in the year of 2021. Some recently published reports claimed that it could go by the name of the IONIQ 9. It will be based on the manufacturer’s EV-dedicated E-GMP platform, offering a range of more than 300 miles on a single charge, and fast charging in less than 20 minutes. Official details about the upcoming EVs are expected to surface sometime later this year.
