How women can add pleasure in their lives, by Eva Mendes

Washington, April 11: Eva Mendes has advised women not to ignore themselves and add more pleasure into their busy lives.

The ''Hitch'' star was named the Global Pleasure ambassador of Magnum ice cream as she launched the world''s largest survey on pleasure in Istanbul.

Eva insisted women should allow themselves indulgences despite the social roles they are expected to play.

"I think as women, we''re sometimes told not to ask for certain things, or to constantly put others before ourselves," Fox News quoted her as saying.

"These are nice characteristics but I think that women should learn to ask for what they want in all areas of their lives more than they currently do.

"I want to encourage the world to inject more pleasure into their lives and I think especially at this time in the world where it''s all doom and gloom it''s a fantastic time to talk about pleasure and work out how to get more pleasure into our lives," she added.

The married actress further stressed upon being true to one''s individuality, and not bowing down to social pressure.

She added: "I think sometimes society can put pressure on women to get married at a certain age and to have kids at a certain age, but I think one of the great things about being a true individual is not listening to societal pressures and just to do what you want and not to be afraid to go on your own train."
