J&K police has arrested two leaders of the moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference in two separate raids on Thursday.
They are National People's Party Chairman Syed Saleem Geelani and National Front Acting Chairman Front Abdul Qayoom. Both of them were arrested from Qalia Ander and Court Road.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharastra has decided to invoke the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against all the 10 accused in the Malegaon blast, including Sadhvi Pragya Chandrapal Singh Thakur and Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit.
Under MCOCA, the ATS will get six months to file a charge sheet against the accused; it's 90 days under other laws.
ATS chief Hemant Karkare said that the investigations into Malegaon blast are on the verge of completion.

A survey conducted by the leading journal 'Preventive Medicine' paints a grim picture for the ‘obese’ women. The survey suggests that obesity is a curse on a woman's life.
According to researchers at the University of Connecticut, obese women are more likely to be fired from their job or get in trouble with the police than thin ones.
It is also stated that they are more likely to be criminals themselves.
Most disturbingly, the survey predicts that the overweight women also suffer the most stress as compared to obese men.
