Minden, Germany  - German police were holding a motorist Wednesday who admitted that he deliberately collided with a girl cyclist, 13, and raped her while she was suffering from concussion.

The 30-year-old father of five had initially claimed the crash on Monday near the northern town of Minden was an accident, but conceded after a long interrogation that he had been looking for a child to attack. The sexual attack took place inside his car.

Bogota  - Colombian police arrested Wednesday Daniel Rendon, known with the alias "Don Mario," the boss of a paramilitary gang devoted to drug trafficking.

Cesar Mauricio Velasquez, press secretary at the government palace in Bogota, said that the man - one of the most sought after suspects in Colombia - was arrested in the town of Apartado, in the northwestern region of Antioquia.

Agra, Apr 15 : Angered by the death of a man by a state roadways bus, residents took to the streets in Agra.

They blocked the national highway and pelted stones on the bus and even burnt objects.

The police have taken the bus and the conductor in their custody but are still on the lookout for the driver, who is absconding.

Dubai, Apr. 14: The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday claimed that it had the world''s first cloned camel.

Injaz, born in Dubai, is a female. It was born on April 8, 2009 at the Camel Reproduction Centre after more than five years of work by scientists, The National newspaper reported.

"This significant breakthrough in our research programme gives a means of preserving the valuable genetics of our elite racing and milk producing camels in the future," Dr Lulu Skidmore, scientific director at the Camel Reproduction Centre, said in a statement.

Manila - A family of six, including four children, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen who burned their house in a southern Philippine city in a bid to hide the crime, a regional police chief said Tuesday. Chief Superintendent Danilo Empredrad said the attack occurred before dawn Sunday while the family was asleep inside the house on the outskirts of Gingoog City in Agusan del Norte province, 795 kilometres south of Manila.

Empredad said the assailants barged into the house and shot the victims before burning the house.
