San Diego team from the University of California found that healthy diet can reduce the chance of the cancer returning by 31%. Lead researcher Ellen Gold of the University of California Davis, said, "Women with early stage breast cancer who have hot flashes, have better survival and lower recurrence rates than women who don't."

The `Valkyrie' actor stated that though he would give his kids the freedom to choose their own career, he would be overjoyed if they would go for acting, reports Contactmusic.

London, Dec. 17 : As long as British Muslims remain entangled in the politics of their forefathers, they will be susceptible to extremism, says a Times report.

The paper is of the view that the direct terrorist threat to Britain comes above all from members of the Muslim minority in Britain, as they are mainly of Pakistani origin, and retain close links to their relatives in Pakistan.

Islamist extremism, it says has become a special problem in Pakistan for two reasons --. The first has been a particular regional tradition of radical Islam, which in South Asia as a whole can be traced back to the Deobandi religious tradition, and the second is the radicalising and destabilising effects of two regional conflicts: Kashmir and Afghanistan.

Singapore's non-oil exports fall 17 per cent in November

Singapore  - Singapore's non-oil exports declined 17 per cent in November from the same month a year earlier because of declining demand in Europe, the United States and China, the government's trade-promotion agency said Wednesday.

The drop was the most in six years and was greater than the 15-per-cent dip recorded in October by International Enterprise Singapore.

On a month-on-month, seasonally adjusted basis, non-oil exports declined by 2.8 per cent in November after the previous month's 7.5-per-cent decrease, the agency said.

Total exports, including oil, fell 11.8 per cent, it said.
