Tata Communications has announced the introduction of virtualisation solutions.

The service, aimed at the SMB segment, is provided at an attractive price of Rs 12,000 per month per terminal and comprises server, storage, connectivity as well as security.

In a communiqué, functionaries of Tata Communications stated that the company is spreading out its managed services portfolio by launching managed hosting and storage solutions for the domestic SMB market. By choosing company's opex-based model, SMBs can not only free up their capital but also enjoy significant saving over the contract period.

The contract tenure for the service would be of one year. The conglomerate has already sold around 40 virtual machines and intends to put on sale 360 more in the present year.

The sources informed that the company is aiming to market 400 virtual machines in current fiscal and another 2,000 by the end of the coming year.
