Ranchi, Nov 11 : Eight bogies of Ranchi-Benaras Intercity train derailed on late Saturday night in Latehar District of the state. However, no casualties were reported.

The bogies derailed between Richuguta and Chetar stations of the district.

The compartments derailed at around 11 p.m., Dhanbad Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Amrish Gupta said, adding that there were no injuries.

According to the preliminary reports, some meddling with tracks were found due to which the bogies derailed, said the DRM.

He, however, did not elaborate it.

Senior railway and district officials have visited the spot. (ANI)
