President Karzai arrived here on a two-day visit last evening against the backdrop of chill in Indo-Pak relations.

The Prime Minister is expected to share evidence about involvement of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and other Pakistan-based elements in the Mumbai attacks.

According to sources, the two leaders will hold discussion on bilateral cooperation to defeat terrorism.

He was convinced of the necessity of the application of science and technology in tackling the enormous economic and social challenges facing a newly independent India.

Addressing the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Indian National Science Academy in New Delhi, Dr. Singh said that INSA has taken the cause of Indian science over more than seven decades.

The Think Tank would comprise of eminent dignitaries from various domains including business, political and economic segments. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh would formally launch it at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, the annual conclave of the Indian Diaspora.
