Obama reveals his dance skills on Ellen Degeneres show

Obama reveals his dance skills on Ellen Degeneres show In a surprise appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Barack Obama showed Degeneres his dance moves, while taping it all on Tuesday in Miami, in front of a live audience. Right after the rally, with nearly 40 people behind him, Obama was ready to go via satellite.

The ‘ball’ set rolling when DeGeneres got right down to business, commenting on Obama’s dancing prowess, or lack of it, saying: “Your wife, Michelle, was on the show and she was talking some smack about your moves.”

DeGeneres was then quick enough to have the music on, giving the Democratic presidential hopeful 20 seconds to prove his spouse wrong. He complied, notwithstanding the distinctly awkward set of circumstances – he stood alone on a patch of concrete and looked into cameras that were to beam him into the studio, as supporters and reporters watched with bated breath.

Obama readily grooved a little, mostly with his arms, before calling off the performance with a smile, accompanied by a witty remark: “Michelle may be a better dancer, but I am convinced I am a better dancer than John McCain.”

During the brief appearance for the interview scheduled for airing on Wednesday, Obama also offered to help DeGeneres with her campaign to lure George Clooney onto her show, saying it would be one of the new president’s most important priorities. He said if elected he would appoint Clooney “ambassador to the Ellen show.”

Obama also revealed the Halloween costumes his two daughters have been planned. He said the ten-year-old Malia intends to be a fairy, and the 7-year-old Sasha plans to go trick-or-treating as a “corpse bride.”
