Washington, Apr 24 : Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is the most powerful gay celebrity, according to a list by an American magazine.

The comedienne, who is married to actress Portia de Rossi, came second to politician Barney Frank but was the top showbiz star on the list.

Actress Jodie Foster and comic Rosie O''Donnell were also honoured in the third annual Top 50 rundown by U. S. publication Out, coming 36th and 42nd respectively, reports Contactmusic.

Washington, Mar 19 : Hollywood comedian and talk show host has landed her first role in a motion picture after 10 long years, as she is all set to play Mother Nature in a forthcoming flick.

Although Ellen has lent her voice to animated flicks like ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Dog Show’, she is all set to play the human representation of Earth''s life-giver in the film.

Ellen will be the controller of nature in the flick being made by Walden Media.

Although Portia was basically invited to the `The Ellen DeGeneres show' to chat about her upcoming show `Better Off Ted', the duo decided to talk about their married life to rejoice their 7-month anniversary.

New York, Feb 21 : Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi want to start a family, it has emerged.

Apparently, the married couple is set to try to conceive via in-vitro fertilization treatments and are hoping for a boy.

"[Portia] is prepared to go through [IVF] 10 times if she has to," The New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

"Whatever it takes to get pregnant, she'll do it," the source added.

Washington, Jan 19 : Television hostess Ellen DeGeneres has finally managed to get actor George Clooney on the set of her talk show with the help of baseball players.

DeGeneres, 50, who had made it her mission to feature Clooney on her show, had conducted a "George Watch `08" campaign, with her theme being "George Clooney Is Mine In `09", Fox News reports.

Her efforts to lure him onto the show did not work until the actor's "ER" co-star Noah Wyle told her that Clooney was a fan of some Big Red Machine players from the 1970s.

Washington, Dec 6 : Ellen DeGeneres seems to have taken Brad Pitt’s ‘Chippendales’ suggestions rather too seriously, for she actually sent the dancers to George Clooney’s office, say reports.

However, all her efforts went down the drain.

The practical joke was set up after Pitt told DeGeneres that a surefire way to secure an interview with Clooney on her show would be to lure him with Chippendales dancers, reports Contactmusic.

Therefore, Ellen, who desperately wanted to have Clooney on her show, sent semi-clad hunks to his office on December 5, according to insiders.
