United States' National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) and India's leading space agency Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are in talks for jointly making a satellite.

ISRO K Radhakrishnan revealed that the two space agencies were trying to determine the feasibility of their working together on a satellite capable of operating on two frequency bands: L-band and S-band.

Srinagar, July 30 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said Tuesday the formation of a state based on an agitation will set a "dangerous trend".

Abdullah was speaking on the possible formation of Telangana, a decision on which is expected soon. He said a wrong message will be sent if the state is created.

"Telangana is a state being created on the basis of an agitation. It is not based on the recommendation of any panel or reorganisation commission or something else. I think that is a dangerous trend." Abdullah told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

Technology giant, Apple has lauched a new investigation into allegations of worker mistreatment in factories linked to the company in China.

The company is facing criticism over reports that it has benefitted from exploitation of more than 70,000 workers in factories in China that produce Apple products and components. There are allegations that the conditions are even worse than those at Foxconn with reports of employee suicides and excessive working hours.

According to the latest figures released, Google's Android platform has remained the dominant platform in the smartphone market in the US market during the quarter till June 2013. The figures from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. showed that Android platform accounted for 51.5 per cent of sales in the smartphone market, ahead of Apple's iOS platform at 42.5 per cent during the quarter.
