Kolkata, June 2 - For master storyteller Rituparno Ghosh, who died May 30, the craft of Wicca - a modern pagan and witchcraft religion - was a "great draw" as it appealed to his intellectual side. The filmmaker also exhibited a pronounced curiosity about "life after death", says renowned Wiccan exponent Ipsita Roy Chakraverti. Ghosh was Chakraverti's first student from the film fraternity.

"He had a strong urge to learn Wicca. He used to often ask me questions about life after death.

M. Veerappa Moily, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas has indicated that the distributors will get special incentives under the Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG Subsidy (DBTL) scheme.

Moily said, “This special incentive for distributors is for smooth and effective roll-out across the country. The incentive is also for speedy implementation of the scheme. The Ministry is also planning to expand and popularise the use of domestic LPG to cover 75 per cent of the population in the next three years.”

Premium carmaker, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), which is a unit of Tata Motors, has recorded an increase of 18 per cent in sales to 116,300 units during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2012-2013.

The company had sold 95,000 vehicles during the third quarter of the financial year. JLR’s operating margins rose to 16.9 per cent compared to 14 per cent recorded in the previous quarter. The Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBIDTA) of the company stood at £856 million.

Los Angeles, June 2 - Singer-songwriter Leann Rimes, who has been through a rough patch over the past couple of years, says she wouldn't mind having a baby in the near future. The singer is married to actor Eddie Cibrian.

Los Angeles, June 2 - Former "Friends" actor Matthew Perry says he hates seeing his own pictures from a phase when he was addicted to pills and alcohol.

The 43-year-old battled addictions to booze, Vicodin, methadone and amphetamines during his 10-year stint on the sitcom "Friends". Perry admits seeing photographs of himself in those days, terrifies him.
