SRK, Deepika relive 'Om Shanti Om' moment

deepika-srkNew Delhi, July 30 : Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone relived a scene from their 2007 film "Om Shanti Om" on the sets of a TV reality show.

The duo was promoting their forthcoming release "Chennai Express" on "Indian Idol Junior" when young contestant Anmol Jaswal sang the melodious "Aankhon mein teri" from "Om Shanti Om".

Anmol’s performance moved King Khan enough to make him come on stage and perform with the budding singer. As the mood built up, Deepika too joined SRK on stage and they ended up enacting the song, with Anmol singing the number live!

Hussey describes dressing room feeling 'horrible'

Mike-HusseySydney, July 30 : Mike Hussey, former Australian batsman, does not want to be part of the Australian team touring England and described the feeling as 'horrible'.

"I feel for the guys because I've certainly been in that situation as well where we haven't been playing that well and losing games and it's a horrible feeling in the dressing room," Hussey was quoted saying in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The 38-year-old, however, feels that the presence of experienced Darren Lehmann in the staff will help them maintain the fighting spirit against England.

SJVNL's Q1 profit up 8.87 percent

Satluj-Jal-Vidyut-Nigam-LtdShimla, July 30 : With over 11 percent increase in power generation from its 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri plant - India's largest hydro project, the Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL) recorded an 8.87 percent increase in profit after tax for this fiscal's first quarter, the company said Tuesday.

The public sector SJVNL's net profit has increased to Rs. 343.24 crore from Rs. 315.27 crore earned during the same period in the last financial year, it said in a statement here.

RInfra posts marginal rise in Q1 net profit

Reliance-InfrastructureMumbai, July 30 : Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) Tuesday announced current fiscal first quarter net profit at Rs. 415 crore ($70 million) over the Rs. 412 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year -- less than a percent growth.

During the quarter ended June 30, the company had a total operating income of Rs. 5,452 crore ($918 million), against Rs. 5,383 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Politics suffering from 'secularitis': Rajnath Singh

Rajnath-SinghNew Delhi, July 30 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh Tuesday said politics in the country is suffering from "secularitis".

"The disease of secularitis has spread in Indian politics. Just like encephalitis, secularitis is very dangerous," he said here.

The comment comes as questions continue to be raised on the secular credentials of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi - the party's poll campaign committee chief who has emerged as a strong contender for the prime minister's post.

Modi has been accused of involvement in the 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat.
