According to the latest figures released, Google's Android platform has remained the dominant platform in the smartphone market in the US market during the quarter till June 2013. The figures from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. showed that Android platform accounted for 51.5 per cent of sales in the smartphone market, ahead of Apple's iOS platform at 42.5 per cent during the quarter.

A new job search application called, JobLens, which will be launched in the UK today, will allow users to look for jobs in their local area.

JobLens is a Windows Phone 8 app that uses augmented reality to shows the location of the job in relation to the user's location and also display information about the company. The app will also tap into the user's social networking profiles including that in LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live in order to identify friends who might be able to connect the users to their prospective employers.

Los Angeles, July 30 : Singer Rihanna reportedly has nothing to do with former beau Chris Brown anymore and is tired of drama that surrounds them.

The duo were in a relationship in 2009 but parted ways after Brown physically assaulted her. They reconciled their relationship earlier this year, but could not sustain it.

Now, Rihanna is just looking forward to a happy future without Brown.

Global electronics giants, Sony and Panasonic have entered into a partnership to develop a 300GB disc by 2015, which will offer an alternative to the Blu-Ray discs in the market.

The two companies are planning to sell discs to the archiving industry in cartridges for automated storage and retrieval of data for long term storage. They said that the device will be water and dust-resistant allowing the users to use them for long term storage.

Oxidative stress is a process that damages all aspects of a human cell, including DNA, through the development of toxic peroxide and free radicals.

BSE Sensex was down by 2156 points at 2.40 PM IST pulled by ONGC, BPCL, Hindalco and Reliance. Asian Markets closed positive, but most of Indian stocks suffered in today's session. With only 30 minutes left for the trading session, the markets are expected to close lower today.

Reliance Industries and ITC were down by 2%. BHEL, Tata Steel, Hindalco and ONGC were down pulling the indices lower. Among major gainers in today's trade were Jindal Steel, Larsen, HCL Tech and Infosys Technologies.
