Vedanta for an independent regulator for oil and gas sectorNew Delhi - As government debates on gas price hike and a new contract for oil and gas exploration, Vedanta Resource today said domestic rates should be linked to international markets and an independent regulator be set up.

Speaking at an Oil & Gas Seminar organised by Indian Chambers of Commerce, Vedanta chief executive Tom Albanese said "the current policy environment fostered uncertainty and did not encourage intensified exploration and production of domestic resources."

Sun RanbaxyNew Delhi: The Competition Commission, which has put the multi-billion dollar Sun-Ranbaxy deal for public scrutiny, on Friday said the major issue is whether the combination would result in high market concentration of certain molecules.

"This is the first case" of combination where the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has gone for a public scrutiny, the fair trade watchdog's Chairman Ashok Chawla said.

In April this year, Sun Pharma and Ranbaxy had announced a USD 4-billion deal that would create one of the top five largest speciality generics company in the world.

wearable-devicesWashington, Aug 29 : Nearly 80 percent consumers have privacy concerns with wearable Internet of Things (IoT) connected technologies.

However, half of those same consumers were okay to share data if compensated with a coupon or discount.

The study conducted by Acquity Group, which is now part of Accenture Interactive, covered more than 2,000 consumers across the United States which reveals a gap in consumers' fears of data privacy and their actual purchasing behavior.

President of Acquity Group Jay Dettling said that companies should focus on specific benefits that sharing data will deliver to consumers.

Crashed Instagram leads users to lash out on Twitter
