Jennifer Lawrence to star in ‘It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War’

According to the US media, Jennifer Lawrence will play lead role in Steven Spielberg's 'It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War'. According to Variety, Warner Bros studio has won the rights for the film at an auction.

The film is based on a memoir by Lynsey Addario. It's a story about a war photographer Lynsey Addario, who reaches the most dangerous places of the world in order to search the truth. These days Lawrence is busy in shooting of her new film 'Joy', which will be released at Christmas.

No announcement was made regarding other cast members. However, according to reports, many actresses like Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon and Margot Robbie have been interested the role. And Spielberg is also directing 'St. James Place', which will be released on October 16. Andrew Lazar will be producing the movie and Warner Bros. executives Racheline Benveniste and Julia Spiro will be managing the project for the studio.

Addario has travelled to places like Afghanistan and Iraq and was also a member of a New York Times team, which grabbed a Pulitzer Prize in 2009. Addario also won the MacArthur Fellowship in 2008.

Lawrence grabbed an Oscar in 2013 for Silver Linings Playbook. She also played a role in The Hunger Games movies.

As per Deadline, "She is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists who went to Afghanistan during the post-9/11 invasion of Afghanistan and carved out a niche giving an identity to the victims of conflict". It also reported that she was even kidnapped by pro-Quaddafi forces in the Libyan civil war.
