Washington, Mar. 01 - William Shatner took to Twitter to lament that he won't be able to attend the funeral of Leonard Nimoy, who died Friday after battling lung disease.

London, Mar 01 : England captain Wayne Rooney scored twice to help Manchester United beat Sunderland 2-0 and reclaim the third spot in the Premier League table on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Following a goalless first-half, Rooney put United ahead in the 66th minute after a foul on teammate Radamel Falcao, for which Wes Brown was send off instead of John O'Shea, the BBC reported.

Jammu, Mar 1 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah and senior leader Lal Krishna Advani have reached Jammu to attend the oath taking ceremony of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here on Sunday.

Haryana Chief Minister M L Khattar will also be present on the occasion.

Mufti, who will be heading a PDP-BJP coalition government in the state, will take oath at the General Zorawar Auditorium of Jammu University.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of both the PDP and BJP, besides other dignitaries, would be present at the venue.

The Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, N. N. Vohra, will administer the oath of office and secrecy.

BJP leader Nirmal Singh is expected to be named as the deputy chief minister of the state.

New Delhi, Mar. 1 - The swine flu epidemic has claimed the lives of 36 more people, taking the total death toll in the country to 1,041.

The number of people affected by the virus also stands at 19,000 now.

Rajasthan and Gujarat have been the worst-hit states so far with 234 and 231 deaths, respectively.
