Use of E-Cigarettes among Teens on the rise

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the number of middle and high school teens that make use of e-cigs tripled in one year. Some alarming and sharply increasing numbers in the number of teens using electronic cigarettes have also been revealed by a new study.

Experts said that electronic cigarettes are considered different than the traditional kind and more and more teens have started this habit. A new study has been released by the CDC about the trend, about teens and their e-cig use, and how dangerous the increasing problem might be.

"This is something new, this is a novelty. That plays directly into the development of an adolescent", said Amy Lukowski, Clinical Director at National Jewish Health.

New Horizons Spacecraft soon to beam back First Ever Close Up Images and Data of Pluto and its Moons

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is just three months away from providing the first-ever-close-up images and scientific observations of Pluto and its moons.

Considered to be the fastest spacecraft ever launched, New Horizons has travelled more than nine years and three billion miles. On July 14, it will flyby past Pluto and its systems of at least five moons.

"Scientific literature is filled with papers on the characteristics of Pluto and its moons from ground-based and Earth-orbiting space observations, but we've never studied Pluto up close and personal", affirmed John Grunsfeld of the NASA Science Mission Directorate.

Goldman Sachs Group has reported surge in its quarterly earnings for the first quarter. According to the investment banking and financial services major, it has registered the best quarterly profit in five years. The company gained from trading bonds and currencies as global market rose and fell in the first quarter of 2013.

According to reports, trading volume improved after the Swiss central bank scrapped a cap on the franc, the United States Federal Reserve moved to tighten monetary policy and the European Central Bank announced about its quantitative easing program.

WikiLeaks publishes Documents from Sony Hack

In 2014, hackers broke into Sony Pictures computer system and stole years of company emails and private files. The hacker group was Guardians of Peace. Now, the non-profit, journalistic organization WikiLeaks made over 30,000 documents from the Sony pictures hack public.

According to reports, the documents have been put online in a searchable database. The reports further stated that the documents include more than 173,132 emails from more than 2,000 Sony Pictures email addresses.

In a statement, WikiLeaks wrote, "However, the Sony Archives show that behind the scenes this is an influential corporation, with ties to the White House, with ability to impact laws and policies, and with connections to the US military-industrial complex".

Over 35 Fugitives Arrested in New Hampshire during Operation Violence Reduction

US marshals carried out a six-week sweep known as Operation Violence Reduction (VR7). In the operation, more than 35 fugitives, gang members, sex offenders and violent criminals were arrested from New Hampshire.

At the national level, there were 7,100 arrests. "Operation VR7 was not about increasing arrest numbers, but rather an effort to further protect communities by targeting the most dangerous felony fugitives", said US Marshals Service Director Stacia Hylton.

Hylton said rather than quantity, they have focused on quality. They have strengthened the operation with the help of community leaders and local enforcement. Main aim of the operation is take off the worst fugitives off the street.
