It was Italy's first-ever defeat against an African team.

Washington - The US military is reportedly tracking a North Korean vessel suspected of carrying illicit weapons in violation of a UN Security Council resolution.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen, told reporters Thursday the United States and other countries have authority under the resolution to inspect a "vessel like this" but provided no details.

"We intend to vigorously enforce the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1874 to include options, to include certainly and hail and query," Mullen said.

Ducon Technologies Inc. - Ducon has announced that it has bagged a prestigious contract from Indian public sector company Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL).

The order has been awarded to the company for a limestone based Flue gas Desulfurization (FGD) system for 3 x 250 MW thermal power plant.

The sources close to the company said that the power plant is being established by National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), a leading Indian power company at Bongaigaon in India.

Mohammed Hamos rose unmarked to head in from a corner from Mohammed Aboutrika five minutes before half-time for a win which keeps Egypt in the running in Group B.

Both teams now have three points, three behind Brazil who defeated United States 3-0 in Pretoria earlier in the day.

New York - Lydia Guevara, granddaughter of the late revolutionary idol Ernesto "Che" Guevara, is set to star in a campaign to encourage a vegetarian diet for the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
