Washington, June 19 : A tentacled snake from South East Asia has developed a unique line of attack to catch its prey-it startles a fish in a way that the prey turns toward the snake''s head to flee instead of turning away.

In fact, the fish''s reaction is so predictable that the snake, instead of tracking its movement, actually aims its strike at the position where the fish''s head will be.

Washington, June 19 : While trying to escape a mob of frenzied fans, Robert Pattinson reportedly collided with a taxi on the streets of downtown Manhattan on Thursday.

The incident happened when the `Twilight' star was filming his new film `Remember Me' in New York City.

The 23-year-old star apparently attempted to run across the street near the famed Strand bookstore to escape a hoard of fans.

Washington, June 19 : Omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish such as tuna and salmon may help prevent age-related macular degeneration (AMD) progression, depending upon the stage of the disease, suggest researchers.

AMD is a progressive disease that attacks central vision, resulting in a gradual loss of eyesight and, in some cases, blindness

Washington, June 19 : Young adults who have low aerobic fitness levels are two to three times more likely to develop diabetes in middle age, finds a new study.

"These young adults are setting the stage for chronic disease in middle age by not being physically active and fit," said Mercedes Carnethon, lead author and assistant professor of preventive medicine at Northwestern''s Feinberg School.

"People who have low fitness in their late teens and 20''s tend to stay the same later in life or even get worse. Not many climb out of that category," Carnethon added.

The study focussed on the relationship between aerobic fitness, measured by treadmill test and development of diabetes.

Stock market analyst VK Sharma has maintained ‘Buy’ rating on Everonn Systems to achieve an intraday target of Rs 392 in 2-3 trading sessions.

According to Mr. Sharma, interested traders can buy the stock with a strict stop loss of Rs 351.

Shares of the company, on Thursday (June 18), closed at Rs 363.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 15.77 and 23.72 respectively. The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 639.60 and a low of Rs 79.30 on BSE.

Washington - Texas billionaire Sir Allen Stanford turned himself in to US authorities after charges were brought against him over alleged fraud.

Stanford, 58, gave himself up to the FBI in Virginia late Thursday, CBS news reported. He is expected to appear in a federal court Friday.

It remained unclear what criminal charges Stanford faces. The US Securities and Exchange Commission brought civil charges against the billionaire's Stanford Financial group over an alleged Ponzi-scheme fraud worth more than 8 billion dollars.
