Brussels - Iran's authorities should allow peaceful demonstrations and engage with the West on disarmament and relations with Afghanistan, Sweden's foreign minister said Monday, 10 days before taking over the European Union's rotating presidency.

"They should respect the right that is there in the Iranian constitution for peaceful demonstrations ... The use of lethal violence against peaceful demonstrators is never tolerated in any country whatsoever," Carl Bildt told reporters in Brussels.

Washington, June 22 : Sienna Miller and ex-boyfriend Balthazar Getty have sparked rumours of a reunion after the two were reportedly spotted kissing on a romantic Italian break.

The actress was surrounded with controversy in 2008 after news came that Getty reportedly cheated on his wife with her, reports Contactmusic.

The pair had decided to part ways earlier this year after continuous negative publicity by the press over the issue.

The `Alfie' star recently spoke to Vogue magazine about her spilt with Getty.

Paris - President Nicolas Sarkozy will become the first French head of state to address a joint session of Parliament in more than 150 years when he makes a long-anticipated speech to lawmakers at Versailles later Monday.

Sarkozy's appearance was made possible by a constitutional amendment passed in July 2008, which annulled a law prohibiting a sitting president to address lawmakers. The last French head of state to do so was Charles-Louis Napoleon, in
1848.

The event has been fiercely criticized by the opposition Socialists and their left-wing allies.

London, Jun 22 : Former glamour model Katie Price a. k. a. Jordan came under the attack of a six-strong group of young men while she was partying at a club in Ibiza.

The drunken clubbers taunted Jordan, 31, a mother of three, after they forced their way into the VIP area at the club, and shouted at her "We love Pete!".

They chanted insults and threatened the star before being manhandled away by a team of bouncers.

London - The new chief executive of Britain's Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), in which the government has a majority stake, is in line for a pay package of 9.6 million pounds (15.7 million dollars) if he turns the bank's fortunes around, it was reported Monday.

The UK Financial Investments (UKFI), which controls the government's 72-per-cent stake in RBS, agreed to the arrangements for chief executive Stephen Hester last week.
