New Delhi - Security forces were on high alert across five Indian states for attacks during a shutdown called by Maoist rebels Monday as government troops widened an offensive in West Bengal.

Federal Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram issued the alert in central Chhattisgarh and eastern Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Orissa states after 12 paramilitary troopers were killed in a rebel attack at the weekend.

Murray's mum Judy thinks that Andy, 22, may lose his chances of winning if her mother, Shirley Erskine, 73, cheers from the sidelines.

This is because Murray lost the last three times his grandmother was watching him play.

The last occasion was when Judy took Shirley to see Andy play Juan Martin Del Potro at the Madrid masters in May.

Finance Minister Algirdas Semeta last week accompanied Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius to Brussels, where he was reportedly introduced to EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.

Former commissioner Grybauskaite is set to become Lithuania's first female president on July 12 after winning a landslide election victory in May.
