Microsoft claims of releasing a 'Patch Tuesday' security update which will take care of the security needs for Windows Help and Support Centre vulnerability which was publicly unveiled by Google security researcher Tavis Ormandy.

Through the Windows Help and Support Centre in Windows XP users can download Help topics that aid to troubleshoot problems which come across while suing the system.

Ormandy on the other hand claims of releasing the patch after Microsoft refused to release details of the vulnerability and provide a patch for it.

CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer has been asked to give an opening key note address at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 as stated by the Consumer Electronics Association.

The CES 2011 to be held in January next year might open with the key not of CEO as it happened this year.

Ballmer spoke about various Windows 7-based tablet devices but none of them seemed to touch base till date.  

Microsoft has filed for a patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office that concerns with the virtual 'page-turning' technology, currently being used by many e-book readers, reports tech news website, The Register.

Microsoft has publicized the application number for its patent number as 20100175018. This further confirms that the company is looking to seek for a patent for the page-turning animation which is utilized when a user makes the apt hand gesture on the touch screen of an e-book reader.

Google will soon start gathering data for its Street View service in European countries and in South Africa, reports Reuters.

As per the reports published by Google on its European Public Policy blog, the search giant is soon to put back its controversial Street View cars back on the path, after seeking permission from data protection regulators in countries including Norway, Sweden, Ireland and South Africa.
