Yahoo has unveiled the latest News blog- The Upshot, according to a report by technology site TechCrunch.

Upshot Editor, Andrew Golis said that the News Blog is based on Yahoo’s search engine and aims at provide the crisp, exact information that listeners need to know.

He further added that the information provided shall be as soon as a story breaks and will be stuck until the end.

It was further stated that the work seen on the site will be coming from the competitors and one should be able to read it with a link.

“But we'll also tell you when — and why — we think a report is off-base or the conventional wisdom is wrong,” he adds.

At present The Upshot boasts of six writers and two editors and takes help of reports, comments, URL links and licensed pictures for content covering national and international affairs, politics and media.

James A. Pitaro, vice president of Yahoo Media said to NYT, “The information is a totally amazing and useful tool that we have at Yahoo. This idea of creating content in response to audience insight and audience needs is one component of the strategy, but it's a big component."
