Nifty 50 Heatmap has higher number of stocks in the green compared to those losing ground today. Among major gainers were automobile companies Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto and Eicher Motors. Other stocks that were trading strong in today’s session were Reliance Industries, Adani Ports, HDFC Life, Larsen & Toubro and UltraTech Cement.

Among banking stocks, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and SBI were trading firm since morning. Bank Nifty was also trading strong today as major components were trading positive.

Among major losers in today’s session were Britannia, Nestle India, Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, Dr Reddy’s and UPL.

Indian markets are expected to close positive today. The markets have not witnessed a major correction in the last three months and the mood on the street is still bullish. If US markets futures remain positive, we could see a strong closing for Indian markets today.
