Porsche eyes double-digit growth in Asia

Porsche-LogoThe German luxury car maker Porsche AG is expecting a double digit growth from its Asian operations. In fact, experts have even labelled the Indian market one of the priority markets for the luxury car maker followed by markets like China.

Though, China is much bigger in size when it comes to luxury cars but a significant chunk of growth is also expected from the Indian automotive market. The increased focus on the Asian market is clearly because of the slow growth in the North American region due to the financial meltdown. In fact, markets like Europe are still not running top gear when one compares them to the levels before the financial meltdown took place.

However, the company is very bullish on maintaining its double-digit operating margins for the fiscal that's coming near to end in July. Notably, the company launched the much-awaited Panamera in the Indian market last year.

The company today offers products like 911, Cayenne, Boxster and Cayman along with the new Panamera in the Indian market. However, keeping in mind the growth the company is enjoying in the Indian market it still has a lot of ground to cover.
