Tariff wars to get more aggressive in coming months

Reliance-CommunicationsIndia's second-largest telecom operator, Reliance Communications has recently agreed on the fact that the price war among the telecom operators in the country if further going to intensify going forward. It is a well-known fact that call rates in India are already the cheapest with one paisa for a second or even lower that's being offered by the new players.

However, as two-three players are expected to enter various new circles, market watchers believe that it will add fuel to the already running price war.

However, RCom is confident that the company will remain competitive in all the respects. The company further added that the tariff war will remain there for the next few more quarters before the players in the sector can make a cushy position for themselves.

The telecom operator further said the fact that at the same time customer care, VAS and the strength of a good network are some essentials for banking maximum number of subscribers in the country. As of today, there are around 15 telecom operators in the country with almost 10 operators operating in at lease one circle of the country.
