Sell Tata Steel
Stock market analysts have maintained 'Sell' rating on Tata Steel to achieve a target that lies between Rs 540-530 today.
The investors are advised to sell the stock to avoid loss, as there are full chances of a downward trend in this stock in today's session.
If the stock fell below Rs 526, it may see more weakness.
According to analysts, investors can sell the stock below Rs 545 with a strict stop loss of Rs 552.
After selling the stock in today's session, the interested investors can enter the stock again, but only on declines.
Shares of the company, on Tuesday (Oct 27), closed at Rs 501.30 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Current EPS and P/E stood at 40.78 and 12.07 respectively. The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 621.35 and a low of Rs 122 on BSE.
Tata Steel announced that its net profit during the second quarter dropped by half because of 35% fall in domestic steel costs this year.
Tata Steel also registered a large increase in its finance charges as it digested arrears which were swallowed as part of its £6.7bn acquirement of Corus in the year 2007.
Before the economic disaster and its acquirement of the less productive Corus, it normally reported double-digit enhancements in its net profit.
But it announced that the company's standalone net profit during the second quarter ended September 30 decreased 49.5% to Rs 9.03 billion as against Rs 17.88 billion a year earlier.
The company's sales declined to Rs 56.9 billion from Rs 68.1 billion a year earlier.
Tata Steel's finance charges surged 54 per cent to Rs 3.92 billion.
