It’s All About Haal-e-Dil!

‘Haal-e-Dil’ is a romantic movie with a fresh twist.
It’s All About Haal-e-Dil!
Producer Kumar Mangat’s loving daughter Amita Pathak makes her debut in the Bollywood industry with ‘Haal-e-Dil’ with Nakuul Mehta and Adhyayan Suman.

The story of the film goes like this: Sanjana (Amita) loves her rich class fellow Rohit (Adhyayan). On the other hand, Shekhar (Nakuul), a flirter who keeps eye on every second girl, has a crush on Sanjana on a train ride from Mumbai to Shimla.

Rohit would also fall in love with Sanjana, and the situation puts Sanjana at the crossroads of life where she has to choose between her love and a stranger.

Who does she finally decide? Who she finally prefers doesn’t really matter as the film is dull, uninteresting and lacks fervor.

There is still a doubt how film makers approve such scripts and risk the career of three debutants.

To make a magical romantic story, the writer and director, instead of using their brains, just pick the conveniently lift parts from all the Hindi romantic hits of recent times. No effort has been made to give different look to the movie.

Anil doesn’t really know where he is headed in an try to remake a ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ meets ‘Jab We Met’ with a shade of ‘Darr’(that’s related to Adhyayan’s death).

When asked whether it is a copy of Dilwaale Dulhaniya Le jaayenge , Anil answered, “All love stories are similar. Just because I have shot one song in yellow fields doesn’t mean that my film is a copy. Haal-E-Dil has nothing in common with DDLJ. DDLJ is a classic and if anyone compares my film to that, I am honoured.”

The actors were given informal training sessions. “Before the film started, my actors went to theatre director Om Katare for help on their performances. He would give them roles from his plays, and that’s how they learnt. Plus, I gave them specific instructions not to be mechanical” said Anil.

The writer Dhiraj Ratan really needs to take a break from films. The cinematography is interesting but doesn’t matter when the movie is miserable.

Amita Pathak fails to impress audience but that doesn’t mean her bit in bollywood is over. Nakuul looks as the finest. Being vibrant and carrying a wonderful body language, producers are to line up for him. Adyayan has not much to do in this movie but no doubt more films await him.

On the whole, ‘Haal-E-Dil’ is totally miserable and gets really annoying.
