Grim faced Saina doubtful for WWC
The Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal has missed the training session for the upcoming WBF World championship due to chicken pox on Friday. This was third consecutive day on which she missed her training session at the Gopi-Nimmagadda Academy in Gachibowli.
The World no. 6, Saina is looking doubtful for the World Championship as per the reports. However, her coach P Gopichand rejected the reports saying that the condition of Saina has not been as bad as reported by the media and she would be fit before the world championship.
He added that Saina has been missing her training session since July 28 and she was initially down with temperature which has been identified as chicken pox now.
Dr. Harvir Singh, father of Saina, said that Saina is a talented athlete and she would recover soon as she has not been taking any medicine. He added that due to this disappointment they were unable to celebrate the official confirmation of the Arjuna Award to Saina and the Dronacharya Award to Gopi.
