Following eight months of the official launch of Chrome browser, Google has finally launched final code for the second version of its Chrome browser.

The company claims that Chrome 2 would be available with 30% speed increase for browsing, the credit of which goes to the revised V8 JavaScript engine that processes downloads from multiple pages but allocates resources to most used items.

Google software engineers Mads Ager and Kasper Lund hold a viewpoint that web applications are becoming complex and browsers need capability to run them faster and in a secure environment.

They expressed, "An increased number of objects put additional stress on the memory management system of the JavaScript engine, which has to scale to deal efficiently with object allocation and reclamation."

Furthermore, the ability to run the browser in full screen mode is another more cosmetic feature change, which basically is an autofill function for remembering form information and a new way to edit the opening screen which displays the browser's most visited sites.

The browser would be much more stable than before as well, since the company has fixed over 300 bugs in the system since launch.

While, the present Chrome users would very soon be updated on the Google Chrome blog, new users can download it on Google website. Google confirms that in future too, there would be a regular push out of updates.
