London - Chelsea became the first side to book their place in the semi-finals of the English FA Cup on Saturday as they won 2-0 at Coventry City.

Didier Drogba put the Premier League side ahead on 15 minutes and Alex made sure of the victory with the second 18 minutes from the end.

Cup favourites Manchester United are away to Fulham later on Saturday in another quarter-final tie.

Coventry had beaten Blackburn Rovers in the previous round but when Drogba fired past two players on the line to put Chelsea ahead, they always faced an uphill battle.

Ferguson, who is well into his 68th year, knows that time is not on his side and he can’t stay in charge at Old Trafford forever.

London, Mar 7: English midfielder David Beckham will stay at Italian club AC Milan until the end of the season, before returning to LA Galaxy.

Beckham is said to be keen to stay in Italy, and a unique "timeshare" agreement has been reached, allowing the England midfielder to play for Galaxy between July and October.

He will then return to Milan in November for the remainder of the next season.

It is understood that Beckham is so determined to stay in Italy that he will fund the majority of the loan fee himself, SKY News reported.

London, Mar 7 : Brit footballer Ashley Cole's legal advisers claim that the photographer involved in the incident on March 5, which led to the arrest of the Chelsea left back, had breached the privacy law under the Human Rights Act.

Cole, 28, who earns 82,000 pounds a week, has threatened to sue The Sun for aggravated damages if the pictures showing him beside a beautiful blonde were published.
