Hertha hit the heights but stay coy on title chancesHamburg  - Hertha Berlin have moved closer to realizing club manager Dieter Hoeness's dream of parading the Bundesliga trophy through Brandenburg Gate.

A hat-trick by on-loan striker Andrey Voronin in a 3-1 win at Energie Cottbus on Saturday has put the Berlin club four points clear at the top with 11 matches remaining.

Yet Hoeness and Hertha are doing their best not to raise hopes in the German capital of a first title win for 78 years, decades before the Bundesliga began in 1963.

But unlike Beckham, whose loan club AC Milan is pulling out all the stops to keep the midfielder in Serie A, Donovan will be leaving German champions Bayern Munich and returning to his Major League Soccer club, LA Galaxy next week.

Donovan's time at Bayern Munich is his third attempt to secure a breakthrough in the Bundesliga, but just like his previous times at Bayer Leverkusen, the striker has failed.

LA Galaxy don''t want Beckham

Football star David BeckhamLondon, Mar. 8 : England winger David Beckham will not return to L A Galaxy despite having struck a deal with them and A C Milan.

News of The World quoted sources close to Galaxy boss Bruce Arena as saying that he does not want the Beckham bandwagon to disrupt the club.

The England star agreed to a "time-share" deal which would see him stay with Milan until the end of the Italian season, then return to America to complete the MLS season, which ends in November.
