Fresh injury woe for Arsenal forward Walcott London  - Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is likely to be out for several weeks after injuring his knee in training on Friday.

Walcott will miss Arsenal's Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, and is almost certain to be out of England's friendly against Slovakia and the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine four days later.

"He will have a scan on his knee today and we are a bit surprised and worried because he was in very good form coming back," said Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The 25-year-old said that he was happy to have extended his contract until 2014. "It was not a difficult choice for me, Schalke has a special place in my heart."

Westermann, who joined Schalke in 2007 from Arminia Bielefeld for a transfer fee of 2.3 million euros (3.1 million dollars), had a contract that was supposed to run until 2011.
