UPA, Left To Take Final Decision On N-Deal Mechanism
The UPA and the Left political parties will assemble to take a final decision on developing a mechanism to check out headaches of the allies over the Indo-US nuclear contract.
Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister is likely to lead the mechanism that will most probably be declared today.
CPM leader Sitaram Yechury maintains the administration should not operationalise the deal till the time this mechanism or a board emerges with its results.
Yesterday, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukeherjee assemble to talk over the stand-off with the Left that almost inflicted the management.
According to the sources the 123 deal is unlikely to be discussed at the International Atomic Energy Association next month. But discussions cannot be stopped for an indefinite time but only for a month and so.
The administration and the Left are also close to concluding a political mechanism or a body to try and conclude the stand off.
