TVS aims at a higher share in scooters segment
After making a lot of noise in the three-wheeler space giving competition to its arch rival Bajaj Auto with its King series, TVS Motors has once again decided to step up on the accelerator pedal as far as its business in the two-wheeler industry is concerned. In fact, the company is aiming for a targeting 30% markets share in the scooter segment by the end of this fiscal from the current levels of 22%.
TVS Motor Company general manager (marketing) S Srinivas said that the company is aiming to grow its scooters sales by 1.5 lakh units per month in the domestic market.
Moreover, the company has recently announced the pan-India launch of its clutch-free Jive, which is expected to strengthen its grip on the entry-level segment in the Indian market.
The company has recently launched the unisex scooter Wego in the Indian market and hence is aiming to gain the untapped potential of the Indian scooters market. The company has recently launched the product only in the three states of Maharashtra and then it will going in for a pan-India launch in the next three months.
