TSA Targets Bloggers Writing about Directives to Increase Airport Security

TSAAs the authorities are busy reviewing the possible ways in which the alleged terrorist, who had tried to bomb the Amsterdam-Detroit flight on Christmas Day, could have brought explosives with him aboard the plane, the Transportation Security Administration is targeting bloggers who have written about a directive to step up the security measures at airports after the attempted attack.

Special agents of TSA have served various subpoenas to popular travel bloggers like Steve Frischling and Chris Elliott, asking them to reveal the names of the sources which leaked this information to them, as this was highly confidential information and the public was not suppose to know about it.

On Tuesday night, Mr. Frischling had met with two special agents from the TSA at his Connecticut residence, a meeting which lasted about 3 hours. On Wednesday morning again, he was forced to hand over his laptop. Mr. Frischling shared that he was threatened that his contract to write a blog for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines would be interfered with by the authorities if he did not reveal the name of the source, which he was unable to as he did not know it himself.

"It (the memo) literally showed up in my box. I do not know who it came from", he said.

No comments on the development have been shared by the TSA so far.
