Tesla set to launch refreshed Model Y within next few months: Report
Tesla Fans seem to have a solid reason to celebrate in the next few months, as reports suggest that the Austin-headquartered electric car pioneer is on the verge of launching a refreshed version of the widely-popular Model Y crossover SUV. Some unconfirmed media reports claim that Tesla has temporarily halted production at its Gigafactory Shanghai as part of its preparations to refreshed version of the Model Y. The reports also claims that preparations for the new version are already underway at the company’s massive Asian manufacturing facility.
It is worth-mentioning here that last summer witnessed the launch of Tesla’s refreshed Model 3 electric sedan in Asia, the Pacific, and Europe, the North American market, but the company has yet to start delivering the revamped electric sedan to customers. Meanwhile, rumors have started circulating about the refreshed Tesla Model Y.
According to emerging reports, Tesla has already started the process of readying its Chinese production plant for producing the updated Model Y, with series production to follow soon. The production plant upgrade will possibly be completed during the New Year holidays.
