Samsung Pixon M8800 Touchscreen Phone to be unveiled in October

Just recently Samsung Omina had embellished the family of Touchscreen Phones, Samsung Pixon M8800 Touchscreen Phone to be unveiled in October and now only a few days after, Samsung has come out with a similar set with 8 megapixel camera.

A secret announcement has been made by Samsung about the successor of the Samsung i8510 INNOV8's, that is the M8800 called as Pixon, with the code name of Brensson. This new edition is a touch screen phone, which will be in direct competition with the LG KC910 Renoir, that also has a camera of 8 mega-pixel.

Math Skills could be improved through the use of computer games

A recent study that comes from Scotland claims that children who play video game Math Skills could be improved through the use of computer games on regular basis might have a good chance to better their concentration, behavior and math attainment.

Students in around 32 schools were studied by the researchers with Learning and Teaching Scotland through the help of the Brain Training from Dr Kawashima game on the Nintendo DS every day. 

Last year, a pilot study was held in Dundee, and the present LTS study served as a follow up to find out if the results were simulated on a wider term.

Norwegian search service offers dedicated search site for kids

Oslo - A Norwegian search service has launched the site Kvasir Junior (http://www.kvasir.no/jr/) which targets children aged six to 12 who want to explore the internet.

The aim is to give children a safe option and focuses on learning, information and entertainment.

"The internet offers great opportunities for children and youths, but also contains dangers," Ingrid Stover Jensen of Kvasir said in a statement.

The criteria for sites that can be registered on Kvasir Junior include "varied content" and even if the sites are geared towards adults, they can be accessed by older children if the language and quality is acceptable.

The sites also have to be up and running, and easy to use.

Trying to drag that book along in your pocket to be read on the train or bus is less fun, though. Digital alternatives to printed books or e-books have been available for a while. But until now they've only enjoyed a niche existence. That might be about to change.

"Reading devices developed especially for e-books should provide a pleasant reading experience," says Gudrun Bolduan from the German Publishers & Booksellers Association. The problem: only a few of the devices have been widely available to date, and with prices of around 500 dollars, they were anything but cheap.
