London, Dec 4 : Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has been honoured with an American Cinematheque Award.
Director George Lucas presented the Pulp Fiction star with the honour at a gala event in Beverly Hills, reports the Daily Star.
The 59 year old has now joined past recipients Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Al Pacino, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
Jackson''s movies have grossed the most money in box office sales than any other actor in the history of film-making.
After the ceremony, Jackson told Hollywood Reporter, "I felt a bond with everyone in that theatre. (It was) a kinship that opened up a whole new world."
