Samuel L. Jackson got last-minute call to Obama’s inaugurationLondon, Jan 21 : Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson was given a short notice to come to Washington, D. C. for the concert celebrating Barack Obama''s Presidential Inauguration, and still made it to the event for his speech.

And the actor, who delivered a moving speech at the star-studded event on January 18, had to travel to the capital without anywhere to stay.

Jackson has revealed that he was informed about the gig only on January 16, and that he had to rush in from Los Angeles.

The `Star Wars' actor said that he didn't even have a hotel room to stay in.

"This only came about on Friday. I suddenly got a phone call. Maybe they were waiting for various people to show up who didn''t," The Daily Star quoted him as telling the New York Post.

He added: "I''m still on a waiting list for a room." (ANI)
